8th Grade "Choices" Day

The Benjamin Logan Middle School eighth grade class recently participated in a full day Youth Leadership “Choices” program sponsored by the Midwest Regional ESC.  The goal for the day was to prepare our students to make the right choices when confronted with many issues related to:  texting, social media, diversity, values, self-esteem/self-confidence, respect & responsibility, family and life structures, conflict management, communication and healthy choices.

Many community volunteers shared their expertise with our students.  Those volunteers included:  Bellefontaine Police Department, Logan County Sheriff's Office, Consolidated Care, Board of DD, Marcia O’Brien Training, Mary Rutan Hospital, Logan County Mental Health Board, Logan County Job & Family Services and Midwest Regional ESC.

Our students received a lot of information about these issues and will hopefully utilize their decision-making skills when faced with any of these topics.  Many thanks to all individuals who made this day such a positive learning experience for our Benjamin Logan Middle School students!
